We sleuthed the provenance of this vintage screen to the best of our knowledge. We do know the screens come from a renowned microphone manufacturer, it appears that each spot of abstract polka dot pattern comes from the internal workings of an XLR connector, you can see two symbols: power "+" and "ground", the little triangular line shape. The diagonal dotted pattern adorns the bottom third of the tie.
